This course was designed to meet the NAIC Model for the Suitability in Annuity Transactions required training. Life producers licensed after September 25, 2011 must take this course prior to selling Annuities. This course complies with South Carolina Regulation 69-29, Suitability in Annuity Transactions. Course objectives include: Introduce the requirements of the new regulation and the reasoning behind the requirements. Introduce the annuity concept and the primary uses of annuities. Discuss the types of annuities and various classifications of annuities. Identify the parties to an annuity. Discuss how the contract provisions in fixed, variable, and equity indexed annuities affect consumers. Discuss the taxation of both qualified and non-qualified annuities. Discuss the suitability issues and regulatory requirements relating to sales practices, replacement, and disclosure requirements
This course is approved by the South Carolina Department of Insurance for Continuing Insurance Education Credit.
Registration
Register early to reserve a virtual seat. To reserve a virtual seat in the class, registration must be accompanied by payment in full. Phone in your registration before class date. Payment by credit card will be required for phone registrations.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Brewer Insurance School reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a class if the class has less than 20 students enrolled.
Certificates
Approved Sponsors of approved courses are required to provide a certification of course completion to each individual who successfully completes an approved course within thirty (30) business days after the course is completed. Verification of the accuracy of the certification provided by the approved sponsor remains the responsibility of the producer. (SC Reg 69-50)

Would you offer classes for a group of associates at our office?
We do offer classes to companies, agencies or group classes on a contract basis. Please contact us via phone or our Contact web page to inquire about this option.
When is payment due?
Payment is required at the time of registration for all class types of classes.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept MasterCard, American Express, Visa, (Debit and Credit cards), Cash, Company Checks, Bank Certified Checks, Money Orders or prearranged billing (businesses only). We do not accept Personal Checks.
Do you offer discounts?
Discounts are offered periodically and when available you can apply the discount during checkout.
Is there any difference in the Live 'in classroom' instruction and the webinar?
All of the instruction is the same because it is a Live class streamed to the internet using Zoom technology. You will be able to see, hear and talk to the instructor and he/she will be able to see, hear and talk to you as many students are doing in elementary and high school virtual classrooms today. The chapter reviews are the same as well. You will also have access to the Exam Tutor On-line Practice Testing Tool and the Classroom On-line Practice Testing Tool as our Live-Classroom students do. The only real difference is you are at your home or office taking the course.
Do you have any weekend or night classes?
We do not offer night or weekend classes.
