Our Founder
After serving 15 years as Executive Vice President of the South Carolina Association of Life Underwriters, Mary Brewer recognized a need for an insurance training school in the state. She established Brewer Insurance School in 1981. It was the first school of its kind in South Carolina.
Over 40 years later the vision of Mary Brewers Insurance School continues on as a strong example of a Local South Carolina Company. Her legacy is honored by the many former students who fondly recall taking her classes years ago, and lives on today as they encourage a new generation of Insurance Career hopefuls to seek out the Mary Brewer School for training.

We provide insurance education from the mountains to the shore in South Carolina. The South Carolina Department of Insurance approved its Life, Accident and Health, Property and Casualty, and Adjusters courses for a variety of settings:
- Various classroom locations once a month
- Four day classes weekly
- Internet, Correspondence, and Webinar Courses
Brewer Insurance School offers The Home Study Program for Property, Casualty, Surety, & Marine; Life, Accident, and Health Adjuster; and Surplus Lines Broker. The program uses the same textbook; and exam tutor software as the class. Students teach themselves in this setting.
Brewer Insurance School also offers classes to companies, agencies, and groups on a contract basis.
