This course is approved by the North Carolina Department of Insurance for Continuing Insurance Education Credit.

Course Objectives

  1. Explore the most common money-laundering methods — from sophisticated digital schemes to the everyday tactics used in routine business transactions.
  2. Gain insight into the soaring monetary penalties tied to money-laundering violations, the states with the highest activity, and the reasons financial institutions are tightening AML regulations and training requirements for every employee.
  1. Examine the essential responsibilities agents hold in adhering to AML requirements on a daily basis, including maintaining awareness of each carrier’s specific compliance rules and the Knowledge Group Consulting programs associated with their appointments.
  2. Enhance the agent’s ability to identify and report suspicious activity by reviewing regulatory expectations, documentation requirements, and proper escalation procedures within their organization.

Registration

Register early to reserve a virtual seat. To reserve a virtual seat in the class, registration must be accompanied by payment in full. Phone in your registration before class date. Payment by credit card will be required for phone registrations.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Brewer Insurance School reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a class if the class has less than 15 students enrolled.

Certificates

Approved Sponsors of approved courses are required to provide a certification of course completion to each individual who successfully completes an approved course within fifteen (15) business days after the course is completed. Verification of the accuracy of the certification provided by the approved sponsor remains the responsibility of the producer.
